Met my expectations at a great price! – First, I want to say it IS plastic. However, the plastic is very thick and sturdy. The shade is a type of plastic that you’d have to be rather careless to break.

Pretty lamp – I’m a therapist, and I use this lamp along with 2 tabletop lamps, a himalayan salt lamp and a desk lamp to keep from having to use the harsh overhead fluorescent lights and have calm light.

Great for the price – Great lamp for the price, looks really classy! Assembly was super easy. Make sure to add the lightbulbs first before putting it together, since the rice paper doesn’t fold back easily once.

Cannot thread some of the rods together at all. – I bought a black lamp in a Walmart store. I have been trying repeatedly since last night to thread the rods together. Most of them threaded together very quickly, within 15 to 20 seconds.
