Fireside reminds me of my grandparent’s house at Christmas in the mountains of Washington state. It’s my favorite candle to light on a cold evening with a good book.

I built an outdoor sofa using cedar. The stain that was recommended by the lumber company was not meant for outdoor use and I didn’t love the finish.

I love the smell of cedar, and this mixed with the clove and other scents snarls amazing. It’s a great transition sent from summer to fall, even winter. Has a good throw & burns even .

We built a deck that gets full afternoon sun and heat in the south. We used the sun drenched oak. We waited the amount of time stated in the directions. Used two coats as directed.

Cleaned with Wood cleaner; dried in sun for 3 days. First coat was tedious because the wood literally drank the stain. Second coat went on much easier. Dried nicely with a deep finish.

Nice campfire marshmallow scent – This is a campfire marshmallow type scent. Several people have said it’s the same scent as Marshmallow Fireside from Bath.

Smells… – SO good. Not super strong, it doesn’t carry the scent out into the hall but makes my bedroom smell so fantastic! Love it.

Fireplace scent is back! – For those disappointed in the unavailability of the “By the Fire” Mainstays candle, I find this to be a suitable replacement. It is actually a bit less fragrant and may even give a bit more.

After a lot of research and thoughts, went with the Cabot Gold Sunlit Walnut for my 2 year old pine deck. Although a little pricey, wanted the protection of an oil-based stain, and the shine.
